Nov 9: Webserver not starting on Windows
If your Windows username contains a space, such as “Firstname Surname”, the web server terminates immediately after startup, preventing Buttons from functioning. This issue occurs with both Local and Microsoft accounts.
Here are two workarounds:
Recommended: Use a Windows account without spaces in the username to run Buttons.
Alternative: Run Buttons as an administrator. However, this will create a new folder with an unusual name under C:/Users to store the web server’s temporary data.Thank you for your understanding as we work on a solution!

Oct 1: If your “regular” Stream decks don’t connect through the front USB-C of the Stream Deck Studio.
This is a known issue and will be improved in next version, meanwhile:
Try doing a firmware upgrade from within Buttons, this will ensure all the firmware on the Stream Deck Studio is upgraded.
Make sure you are connected to the same network, for it to be automatically discovered for adoption.

Sep 16: Stream Deck Studio - Firmware issue:
If you experience that the SDS gets laggy/unresponsive after a while, please tell us about what kinds of other devices that lives on your network.
Theory: Other special mDNS traffic on the network, causing some internal problems. Status: We’re working on ways to reliably reproduce it. ⏳
Solution for now: Separate the panels on a different broadcast domain (VLAN), then they will be 100% stable.

We're excited to announce the early beta version of Bitfocus Buttons, a project five years in the making. Despite challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and a necessary rewrite, we've persevered to bring you this product, which we are very proud of.
Our collaboration with Elgato to co-design the Stream Deck Studio has been invaluable, allowing us to create hardware specifically tailored to our software. While we aimed to have more Buttons features ready for the Stream Deck Studio launch at IBC 2024, however, we chose quality over expediency, ensuring that every aspect of Buttons is crafted to meet our high standards.
We appreciate your patience and are confident that the wait has been worthwhile. Bitfocus Buttons and SDS represents our commitment to excellence in both hardware and software design.
